If you are injured in an automobile accident, then your medical bills usually get paid by your own automobile insurance through Personal Injury Protection, or PIP Benefits. Those are no fault benefits. In other words, regardless of who’s causing the accident, your PIP, meaning your own auto insurance will pay for your medical treatment. And you go through your auto insurance to get all your medical bills paid.

It’s important however, to see an attorney early on to make sure that you have PIP benefits and that you use them for all your medical treatments for injuries from the automobile accident.

On occasion, the PIP benefits will not be available, but that’s why it’s very important to have an attorney to explain the process.
